What is a Storm Leak?

A storm leak is an acute, meteorologically induced failure of a building’s protective envelope. It occurs when dynamic external forces, such as high velocity wind uplift, kinetic hail impact, or wind-driven rain pressure, exceed the structural tolerance of building materials, causing an immediate breach that allows atmospheric water to penetrate interior spaces.
